Just a quick post to report on the success of the Lancashire Hot pot recipe provided by Nigel Haworth (of Northcote fame) and published within the food & drink section of visitlancashire.com
Mother’s Day gave me the opportunity to try the recipe on my unsuspecting mother and I can report that it worked very well – clear plates all round and my husband had the leftovers for his lunch on Monday. Whether this success is down to my own culinary mastery or the simplicity of Nigel’s recipe remains a mystery but whatever it was I’ll be making it again.
Barbara has produced some lovely laminated recipe cards featuring the hotpot recipe, amongst others, and I believe they will be available to request from visitlancashire.com soon.
Speaking as said husband, I can report that it was fabulous, even the leftovers the day after. My work colleagues kept enquiring what the lovely smell was coming from our office kitchen. Thanks to Nigel, oh and of course my wife!
