On Sunday, Julia, Ben, Cameron and myself walked along the new look Promenade between Central Pier and South Pier. Not all of it is quite open yet, but the bits that are open are fantastic - what a transformation! The steps leading down to the beautiful clean sandy beach were packed with happy families enjoying the sunny day and even the hard working donkeys seemed to be smiling. Our two youngsters proceeded to paddle and make some impressive sandcastles The Promenade itself has been finished to a very high standard with grassed areas, good signage and wide open walkways, so the youngsters were safely away from the road. Once the whole of the Promenade up to North Pier is finished to this standard, I am sure everyone will be rightly proud of this fantastic sea front.
After our walk on the Prom, we headed into the Pleasure Beach for a full day of fun, rides and roller coasters. The park was really clean and the staff extremely smart and very polite. From the moment we entered to our departure seven hours later, we were made to feel welcome and valued – well done Pleasure Beach. Julia loved Infusion (while I safely looked after the boys!) and our two youngsters had the time of their lives – The Avalanche, Beaver Creek being particular highlights. We will definitely be back. On such a hot day, the new fountains proved to be a big hit.

Went to the Pleasure Beach with the family last weekend and had a fabulous day. Lots has been made about having to pay to get into the park but it has created a very safe, friendly and clean environment. Lots of investment into the food and drink offer, the fountain was great fun and I do declare that Valhalla is still my favourite ride. We went early to avoid the queues for the big rides expecting to be out early afternoon and ended up leaving as they shut the gates. I've visited many times over the years but can say this was the best visit ever. Keep up the good work

Totally agree with you about the impressive work now being unveiled along the Prom! We went on Wednesday and after emerging from the cool of Sandcastle we decided to grab some Fish & Chips to eat down on the beach in the sunshine. We were really impressed with the Italian style steps. So many people were using them for sunbathing, meeting with friends and enjoying ice cream! Can't wait to see the finished product as I think it will make the whole way of the prom a lot more user-friendly.
