With the party season in full swing it was good to be invited to experience some festive fun courtesy of one of our Member organisations. The Preston Marriott party night starts when you step on the red carpet leading towards wonderfully decorated Christmas trees in the reception area - this really set the mood for what was a great evening of Christmas party fun, fantastic food, disco and casino gaming tables.
The three course meal included chefs home-made Pork Terrine, followed by Goosnargh Chicken (a Lancashire speciality) and then fantastic cheesecake to round off a great and locally sourced meal. I also met a very loyal, corporate customer Mr Elliott, who has stayed over 1,000 times over the years at the Marriott and as such has had room number 300, named after him as the Elliott Suite. What a nice touch – part of that great Lancashire welcome.
General Manager Cameron McNeillie and his team are to be congratulated on their top hospitality. Quite rightly they are very proud of their hotel, which stands in its own mature grounds, just off the M6 / M55 – it is extremely well looked after and you can tell from the genuine enthusiasm shown by the whole team that they are passionate about what they offer. As part of an international chain, standards of service and excellence are extremely high throughout and we couldn’t have been made to feel more welcome.
