I spent the morning at the Priory in Scorton at the launch the new 'Welcoming Walkers & Cyclists' leaflet. Despite the high winds, we attracted a group of cyclists from the Garstang cycling club, who joined us for a press photograph.
The Priory is a favourite place for walkers and cyclists (I was very surpised how many people were enjoying breakfast and morning coffee at 10am when we arrived!) both for its accommodation and cafe. Thank you to Jonty and everyone at the Priory was assisting us with the launch - the pastries were particularly delicious!
The new guide features accommodation with the walkers and cyclists charter mark (i.e. they are able to offer secure bike storage, drying rooms etc.) I now think that by becoming walkers or cyclists we could all embrace the year of food and drink without the fear of weight gain!
So does anyone fancy doing the new Lancashire Cheese Walks around Chipping?
