Christmas officially came to the tourist board last week – the office trees were decorated, it snowed (again) and Friday was the day of our annual Christmas party!
This year Mytton Fold Hotel was our destination, and so we all headed off into the depths of the Ribble Valley (travelling through heavy snow I may add) in our very best togs for a spot of festive fun.
Mytton Fold looked very Christmassy in the snow and we soon got in the festive mood with crackers, party hats, terrible jokes and helium balloons. The four course meal was accompanied by a pianist playing Christmas music (to which some of us couldn’t resist singing along) and we all managed to not talk about ‘work’ - so well done everyone!
And finally when the last cup of coffee had been served the disco started with ‘All I want for Christmas’........ After that it’s all a bit of a blur.
You can safely assume that there were excessive amounts of dancing, some moderate drinking and lots general merriment had by all. It was great fun and possibly our best Christmas party night yet....
Merry Christmas!
